Sundew has been awarded a DKr 5.8M (€780,000) grant from the Danish funding body GUDP (Grønt Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprogram under Miljø- og Fødevareministeriet – The Green Development and Demonstration Program of the Danish Ministry of Environment and Food).

The grant covers a three-year project focused on developing Sundew’s first product, BIOKOS, a biological treatment for the important fish disease known as ICH or white spot.

Sundew’s partners in the project are Copenhagen UniversityThe Danish Technical University and Dansk Akvakultur. These partners will share DKr 2.9M of the total grant to undertake further research on BIOKOS.

Neil Goldsmith, chair and co-founder of Sundew said: “We are delighted with this support from GUDP.  It allows us to accelerate the development of BIOKOS and, all being well, to get it into the hands of fish farmers much faster.”
